HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE?

The SRG-1 is designed to be worn close to the body.
A snug fit ensures maximum protection while maintaining comfort and freedom of movement.
For the best fit, we recommend choosing one size smaller than your usual size.
If you're unsure which size to choose, contact an SRG dealer. They will be happy to help you find the size that best matches your body shape.
Please refer to the SRG-1 Size Guide below:

SRG-1

The SRG-1 MAX is designed with a regular fit.
A proper fit ensures optimal protection while providing comfort and freedom of movement.
We recommend choosing your usual size. Avoid selecting a larger size, as an oversized back protector can create a "backpack effect" and prevent the airbag vest from fitting correctly.
If you're unsure which size to choose, contact an SRG dealer. They will be happy to help you find the size that best matches your body shape.
Please refer to the SRG-1 MAX Size Guide below:

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MX, ADVENTURE, AND ADVENTURE RACE MODES?

Each detection mode is designed for a specific type of riding:

  • MX Mode: For motocross riding on closed circuits.
  • Adventure Mode: For recreational Enduro and Adventure riding.
  • Adventure Race Mode: For competitive Enduro and Rally racing.

For riders competing at MXGP, MX2, EMX250, EMX125, or an equivalent level, MX PRO Mode is available upon request.
Adventure PRO Mode is also available upon request for riders competing at RallyGP or Rally2 level.

Choosing the detection mode that matches your riding discipline ensures the best possible coverage and optimal protection in the event of a crash.

WHAT ARE THE DEPLOYMENT CRITERIA?

Off-road falls are common, so it's essential that the airbag deploys only when it is truly needed.

In addition to analyzing the rider's acceleration, deceleration, and body movements, the detection algorithms also evaluate impacts, vibrations, loss of traction, and jumps. They are designed to distinguish low-speed falls that do not require airbag deployment from crash scenarios where deployment is necessary.

Please note that airbag deployment is not based on speed alone. The system also takes into account the rider's angle and, most importantly, the sequence of events leading up to and during the crash to determine whether deployment is required.

HOW WERE OUR OFF-ROAD DETECTION ALGORITHMS DEVELOPED?

Our off-road detection algorithms were developed using data collected from a representative group of test riders of all skill levels—from recreational riders to regional, national, and world championship competitors.
The development program covered every major off-road discipline, including Motocross (MX), Supercross (SX), Enduro, Adventure riding, and Rally Raid, across a wide range of motorcycle classes, from 85cc to 450cc.
The data collection process lasted more than two years and continues every day through the In&Motion community-based system, allowing the algorithms to be continuously refined and improved.

ARE SRG AIRBAGS COMPATIBLE WITH NECK BRACES?

No. SRG airbags are not compatible with any type of neck brace, whether rigid or soft.
Using an SRG airbag together with a neck brace can lead to serious injuries if the airbag deploys. For your safety, these two types of protective equipment must never be worn together.

HOW DO SRG AIRBAGS PROTECT ME?

The SRG-1 combines multiple technologies to provide the highest level of protection.

It features passive protection with D3O® components:
D3O® CP1 L1 CHEST chest protector, certified to EN 1621-3 Level 1.
D3O® Special In&Motion BP L2 back protector, certified to EN 1621-2 Level 2.

It also incorporates In&Motion active airbag technology.
When the airbag deploys, the inflatable protective structure expands to help protect the chest, abdomen, back, and neck.

HOW QUICKLY DOES AN SRG AIRBAG DEPLOY?

Once a crash is detected, the airbag deploys and fully inflates in just 30 milliseconds.

HOW DOES THE DETECTION ALGORITHM WORK?

The In&box continuously analyzes the rider's movements in real time using its inertial measurement unit (IMU), which includes three accelerometers and three gyroscopes.
Performing 1,000 analyses per second, the algorithm identifies crash situations and triggers the airbag when deployment is required.
The detection process takes 30 milliseconds. Combined with the 30-millisecond inflation time, SRG airbags provide full protection in just 60 milliseconds—about the time it takes to blink.

HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY SRG AIRBAG AND IN&BOX?

Start by turning on the In&box by double-pressing the On/Off button located on the front of the unit. The In&box will confirm that it is powered on with an audible beep and two red LED indicators.
Next, insert the In&box into the dedicated compartment on the back of your SRG airbag. The LEDs will then turn green, indicating that the In&box is correctly installed and your airbag vest is fully operational.

WHAT IS THE BATTERY LIFE OF THE IN&BOX? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE?

The In&box provides up to 30 hours of battery life on a full charge.
It can be fully recharged in approximately 2 hours using a standard USB charger connected to a 220V power outlet.

DOES THE AIRBAG DEFLATE AFTER A CRASH?

For safety reasons, the airbag is designed to remain inflated throughout the crash and for a period afterward. This helps protect the rider from secondary impacts, such as colliding with an obstacle after the initial fall.

Although the air pressure gradually decreases a few minutes after deployment, the inflator must be removed to allow the airbag to fully deflate.

WHEN AND HOW DO I REPLACE MY INFLATOR?

The inflator must be replaced after every airbag deployment. This can be done easily by following the replacement procedure yourself.

For step-by-step instructions, please visit the In&Motion website (inemotion.com) and watch the video tutorial.

WHERE CAN I BUY A REPLACEMENT INFLATOR?

You can purchase a replacement inflator:

  • From your SRG dealer.
  • Online through the In&Motion website (inemotion.com).

To find your nearest SRG dealer, use our Dealer Locator.

WHAT IS THE SERVICE LIFE OF THE SRG AIRBAG?

The airbag bladder is designed to withstand up to five deployments. After the fifth deployment, it must be replaced.

To have the airbag replaced, take your SRG airbag vest to your SRG dealer. They will return it to our service center, where our maintenance team will replace the airbag and perform a full inspection of your vest.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY SRG AIRBAG?

SRG airbags can be cleaned using clean water.
Before cleaning, remove the In&box, the inflator, and the back protector.

Hold the airbag vest upright and rinse it with cold, clean water, observing the following minimum distances:

  • 1 metre (3.3 ft) when using a standard water jet (such as a garden hose or shower head).
  • 2 metres (6.6 ft) when using a pressure washer.

For more information, please refer to the user manual or visit the In&Motion website (inemotion.com).

CAN I RIDE IN THE RAIN WITH AN SRG AIRBAG?

Yes. When worn under a jersey, SRG airbags can be used in light to moderate rain.
In heavy rain, we recommend wearing your SRG airbag under a waterproof jacket for added protection.
Please note: The In&box is not designed to be submerged in water.

WHERE CAN I BUY THE AERO PROTECTIVE JACKET?

The AERO protective jacket is available from your SHOT RACE GEAR dealer.

Pair your SRG-1 with the AERO jacket for enhanced protection. Certified to CE EN 1621-1, it provides shoulder and elbow protection without compromising the comfort, freedom of movement, or breathability of the SRG-1.

To learn more, visit the dedicated AERO product page on the SHOT RACE GEAR website.

WHAT IS THE DEFLATION RING?

The deflation ring is a single-use accessory intended exclusively for training or competition on approved closed circuits.

It is designed for riders who require rapid airbag deflation after deployment, allowing them to get back on the bike more quickly following a crash.

SRG airbags equipped with the deflation ring comply with the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) requirements for Category 2 airbags.

To equip your SRG airbag with a deflation ring, you can:

  • Visit your SRG dealer.
  • Order one online through the In&Motion website (inemotion.com).
